DCT2000C01

Change-over switch for AES/EBU digital audio

The DCT2000C01 is an automated switch designed for use with balanced AES/EBU digital audio signals.
The DCT2000C01 provides four inputs labeled IN1, IN2, IN3 and IN4 and two independent outputs labeled OUT1 and OUT2. The decision on which input is selected at any given time is made according to the failure criteria that have been chosen. Alternatively, either of the four inputs can be selected regardless of signal presence by using the Manual and GPI modes of operation.
Output OUT1 has a bypass relay that connects it to input IN1 if the power supply fails.
The signal-failure detectors available in the equipment are: signal presence, synchronization status, parity errors, overload, silence, and loudness (measured in accordance with ITU-R BS.1770-4 and EBU Tech. 3341). All faults can be masked, and their activation and deactivation can be time-delayed.
The DCT2000C01 has four operating modes for selection between its two inputs. These are: Automatic Mode, Semiautomatic Mode, Manual Mode and GPI Mode. Any switching between inputs is indicated with an LED and an acoustic beep.
The DCT2000C01 has two GPI inputs that allow control of input selection in one of the operating modes, and two GPO outputs via contact closures to ground that indicate which input is being routed to output OUT1 at any given time.
