The UXC2000C01 is a module that include an up-converter from 3G-SDI to 12G-SDI and a down-converter from 12G-SDI to 3G-SDI.
This module has been designed to work together with the HXC2000C02, a module that integrates an advanced motion compensation de-interlacer and 3G/HD/SD-SDI format converter, in order to performing any conversion necessary between 12G/3G/HD/SD-SDI digital video formats as long as they use the same field frequency (either 50 Hz or 59.94 Hz).
The UXC2000C01 includes an interface via the rear bus of the mounting frame to exchange information with an HXC2000C02 installed in the slot to its right. This interface allows the two modules to work together as one and managed with the HXC2000C02's control application.
The 12G/3G/HD/SD-SDI digital video input to be converted can be supplied via the IN electrical connector or via the OPT. IN optical interface. Once converted and synchronized the 12G/3G/HD/SD-SDI digital video signal is distributed to the OUT electrical connector and the OPT. OUT optical interface.
The two auxiliary connectors, one electrical output AUX OUT and one electrical input AUX IN, are used for sending and receiving 3G/HD/SD-SDI digital video to and from the HXC2000C02 module for all necessary de-interlacing, scaling and aspect ratio conversion.
The UXC2000C01 can operate as a frame synchronizer or as a frame delayer. In the first case the output video signal is synchronized to the analog reference input with loop-through (REF./REF. LOOP). In the second case the output video signal is synchronized to the digital video signal being received for format conversion.
In addition to performing video format conversion, the UXC2000C01 can pass the audio and timecode information present in the input signal through to the output signal.
