Quad bidirectional converter between 3G/HD/SD-SDI and 10 Gbit/s Ethernet according to SMPTE2022-6

The STE2022C01 is a module that can transmit and receive 3G/HD/SD-SDI digital video signals over a 10 Gbit/s Ethernet interface using the RTP protocol over UDP/IP as per the SMPTE ST 2022-6 standard.
The module consists of four independent sections. Each section has a 3G/HD/SD-SDI input/output interface, a frame synchronizer and a bidirectional port to the 10 Gbit/s Ethernet interface that is shared by all four sections. Up to four SMPTE ST 2022-6 RTP streams over UDP/IP with or without FEC can be transmitted or received via Ethernet. Each section can be configured to convert SDI video to IP, to convert video over IP to SDI or can be deactivated.
The frame synchronizers included in the module can operate by synchronizing to an external reference signal or in free running mode. The external reference can be either the SDI video signal received by Section A or the clock signal from the mounting frame bus if the frame has a clock generation module installed. The modules HTG2000C01 or GPS2000C01 are examples of modules suitable for this function.
Storage of the frame synchronizers in the frame buffer after an error in the input is detected can be configured to occur as soon as the first good line is received or as soon as the first good frame is received.
The circuit that locks to the reference of the STE2022C01 provides a configurable soft lock mode in order to avoid discontinuities in the output video after a temporary loss of the reference signal.
